At last years E3, EA and Coldwood Interactive announced a new game, Unravel, which EA described as “a one-of-a-kind, physics-based puzzle platformer that capture(s) the hearts of players around the world”. The game allowed players to guide Yarny on his great adventure, coming up against environmental hazards, platforming, and puzzle solving that even involved unraveling Yarny himself. In a recent post on the EA blog, Patrick Söderlund, Executive Vice President of EA Studios, has announced they Unravel 2 may be on the way.
Söderlund explained that EA loves working with talented developers, and feels that Coldwood Interactive fits that bill. “At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners. Which is why I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve signed a new agreement with Coldwood to work with them on their next project.” While the blog post doesn’t directly call out Unravel 2, Söderlund said that they are “excited to continue working with Martin Sahlin and the great team at Coldwood, and to see the next adventure they bring to life”.
