The Xbox One/Windows 10 exclusive Forza Motorsport 7 raced onto shelves last week. How has it been doing? Sales data on physical copies has now surfaced thanks to a report from GFK Chart Track.
GFK posted two reports, one showing the Top 40 weekly games on individual platforms and the other showing the Top 40 weekly games across the board. The data for bot charts stops at October 7th.
The chart which shows data on the best-selling games overall has Forza Motorsport 7 listed at #2, being beaten out by FIFA 18 which took the top position. Last year’s Forza Horizon 3 stood beside its brother at the number three spot.
On the individual platforms chart, Forza Motorsport 7 nabbed the number #3 position, once again being beaten out by FIFA 18 taking the first and second positions with the PS4 and Xbox One versions, respectively. Forza Horizon 3 once again placed right underneath Motorsport 7, this time taking the #4 spot.
It must be taken into consideration that these charts do not include sales data for digital games. Forza Motorsport 7‘s digital edition is a Play Anywhere title, which means that counts as sales on PC. With that said, there’s a good chance that Forza Motorsport 7 will outsell its predecessor (Motorsport 6) since it’s a full release on PC in addition to Xbox One.
