The 30th Anniversary of Mega Man is upon us. Capcom celebrated by holding a Twitch livestream. There were a couple of huge announcements shared during the event. The first, which we’ve already covered, is that Mega Man 11 is real and is coming to Xbox One in late 2018. The other big announcement from Capcom was that the Mega Man X Series would be coming to Xbox One in 2018.
Capcom has released two previous Mega Man Legacy Collections, 1 and 2, collection Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 10. It is not currently known if Capcom plans on releasing the Mega Man X games as a collection or as individual ports. It would make sense to continue the “Legacy Collection” series, but Capcom has not confirmed either way. What we know is that the entire series from Mega Man X1 though Mega Man X8 will be released. We do not know if this includes the side games like Xtreme 1 and 2 or Command Mission.
What do you think of a Mega Man Legacy Collection X? Have we had enough Mega Man collections? Are you planning on buying it? Would you buy these if they were stand alone releases? What collection should come after X? Let us know in the comments below.
