Back in late 2016, Turn 10 Studios unleashed the incredibly fun Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One and Windows 10. The game was met with critical acclaim all across the board. Although it’s been over a year since the game’s release, it’s getting a bit of a second wind thanks to the Xbox One X.
It was announced at E3 2016 that Forza Horizon 3 would be getting an enhancement update for the Xbox One X that would take advantage of its advanced graphics processing power and native 4K capabilities. At the launch event of the Xbox One X back in November, the release date of this update was formally announced to be January 15th, 2018. That’s just a few days from this point, and things are on track (pun intended) for that date to be met.
Aaron Greenberg, the Head of Xbox Games Marketing, recently tweeted out that he had a meeting with Turn10 and the Forza Motorsport development team and confirmed that they’re working on the final assets for the Forza Horizon 3 Xbox One X update and it will indeed be releasing on the 15th.

There you have it; you’ll be able to jump back into an enhanced version of the game very soon. Forza Horizon 3 is already a gorgeous game, so I’m rather excited to see just how much better Turn 10 has been able to make it look compared to the original version.
