Indie games are ten a penny nowadays and that means if you want your game to get noticed it’s going to have to have something unique or truly special to rise to the top. This is especially true when it comes to 2D pixel art games that seem to be in abundance on the Xbox Marketplace. Fortunately, The Long Reach, the debut game from Painted Black Games, looks like it has a chance thanks to a great atmosphere married to an interesting premise and story. Well, we will get to find out soon as the game now has an official release date of 14th March when you’ll be able to buy it digitally for $14.99/£12.99/€14.99.

The Long Reach is an intricate adventure, where you solve puzzles, run, and hide. The story takes place in Baervox, fictional American town. The scientific institute designs a revolutionary system of accelerated knowledge transferring. As it usually happens, everything went wrong. Technology went out of control. As an aftermath, Institute, and the whole town turned into a real nightmare, and the experiment participants grew into… well, we cannot tell you that for now, because we hate spoilers!:)
