Another out of nowhere announcement from the Xbox E3 conference. Jump Force, a new anime crossover of Shonen Jump properties. They said it would be from Bandai Namco but, from the start of the trailer, it was not immediately obvious it was going to be an anime game. The graphics looked semi-realistic and they talked about a ravaged world. But then, Naruto is shown. By the end of the trailer Naruto, Luffy, Goku, and Frieza show up. All fighting in a ruined city, turning it even more to rubble.
It looks like the last anime crossover game J-Stars Victory VS+ but on a whole other level. The combat looks faster and more frantic. And somehow even more over the top. We’ll have to wait and see if it will have the wide range of characters as the previous game. At the very least it looks like an improvement on the gameplay front.
And I almost forgot the best part, at the very end of the trailer two familiar faces are shown. I won’t spoil who they are but you are going to want to check it out! We will update this post as soon as the trailer for Jump Force goes live.
Been a fan of video games ever since I opened up a Game Boy with Pokemon Yellow one Christmas far too long ago. I even taught myself to read by playing it! From then on, games and words have always been linked for me. I found that what I really liked about video games (and every other thing I owned) was the stories they held. I’m honored to be here, using my words to talk about the wonderful worlds that games can take us to.
