Literally, in the very beginning of their conference, Microsoft announced a brand new Halo game: Halo Infinite. The trailer shown is a big tease, making you think it’s just a normal game at first. They show normal looking landscapes and even Earth animals. But then, out of nowhere, Master Chief is shown standing holding his helmet. And then more Halo settings are shown off, leading to another big reveal: this isn’t exactly the Halo 6 we were expecting as it has a new title (though equally as uncreative).
You can check out the trailer below. It’s worth watching for that glorious helmet reveal. A release date wasn’t given but at the very end, it says that the game is powered by the Slip Space engine. Interesting.
Are you guys excited? Do you think Halo Infinite will live up to your vision of a Halo 6?
Been a fan of video games ever since I opened up a Game Boy with Pokemon Yellow one Christmas far too long ago. I even taught myself to read by playing it! From then on, games and words have always been linked for me. I found that what I really liked about video games (and every other thing I owned) was the stories they held. I’m honored to be here, using my words to talk about the wonderful worlds that games can take us to.
