Assassin’s Creed III is coming to Xbox One with a new coat of paint. Available as a standalone purchase or part of the Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey season pass, the remastered version of the third game is the ultimate package for fans. Not only does it have 4K and HDR capabilities, but all of the downloadable content is included as well.
In addition to the full game, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered also includes all of its original post-launch content, including the Benedict Arnold and Hidden Secrets missions, and the Tyranny of King Washington story arc that lets players explore an alternate reality where George Washington seizes ultimate power. Also included is Assassin’s Creed III Liberation Remastered, an enhanced version of Aveline de Grandpre’s battle for freedom in 18th-century New Orleans.
Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered takes place in America during the 18th century, and follows Connor, a protagonist born from an English father and a Native American mother. While the 2012 game received a solid 80 percent on Metacritic, it left fans of the series (including some people from Enthusiast Towers) underwhelmed to the point of skipping future installments. Regardless, it’s great to see that Ubisoft is catering to fans of the series by bringing back a previous entry in the franchise with some improvements.
Are you a fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise? How do you like the new direction the series took with Origins and Odyssey? So you have the season pass? If not, will you be purchasing Assassin’s Creed III: Remastered when it launches on March 29th? Leave a comment below.
