Skater XL to ride on to Xbox One

The last two console generations have featured some great skating games. There’s been the more realistic style game with the Skate franchise and of course the more outlandish Tony Hawk series. Skating games have not had such a presence in this console generation. The only title has been the massively disappointing Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5. Well, developer, Easy Day Studios, has just announced that they will be bringing their Skater XL game to Xbox One. The announcement was made with a trailer for the game which you can check out below –

The official Twitter account for Skater XL describes it as having the “smoothest, most responsive gameplay ever in a skateboarding game”. Beyond that, it’s difficult to find out much about the game. The game’s website just has an image of the game and a box to sign up to a newsletter. There doesn’t even appear to be a website for the game’s developer, Easy Day Studios. All that we have been able to find is the official description on Steam –

From the people who brought you the #1 sports game world-wide for mobile, Skater XL is an evolution in skateboarding games. Experience unparalleled board control and responsiveness while you skate legendary real-world skate spots.

The game isn’t supposed to launch in full on PC until 2020. We don’t know whether Skater XL will hit the Xbox Game Preview Program before then or launch alongside the full PC release next year. You can be sure we’ll keep on top of this one and let you know as soon as we learn more.
