Are Remedy looking for Alan Wake to take Control?

Remedy Entertainment always make interesting games and titles of high quality. This is once again true for their latest game, Control. It’s a game that has impressed quite a few of us at Enthusiast Towers and has a very respectable Metacritic score of 84. If you’re in the same position as some of my colleagues who have finished the game and are wanting more then you will be interested to know what’s next. Well, Remedy has just released the roadmap for the game and it appears to show a familiar character being added to the game. You can check out the roadmap below –

The content roadmap for Control

As interesting as the Expeditions and The Foundation updates look, the one that really catches our eye is the AWE expansion, due in mid-2020. If you look closely at the image for AWE it appears to be very similar to the Alan Wake box art. Could AWE stand for Alan Wake Expansion? Of course, this is now possible after Remedy acquired the publishing rights for Alan Wake. My colleague (and Alan Wake superfan), Andrew Gonzalez has said that if you’ve played Control it seems like a very logical move to add him to that world. We may have to wait a while for confirmation but this is story we are definitely going to keep our eyes peeled on.
