New games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month

It’s a new month and that means new games coming to Xbox Game Pass. We’ve already been told about some of the games coming (The Outer Worlds and Felix the Reaper) but we now know more titles and have further details on all of them.  Anyway, enough waffle let’s get on with the announcements. These are the games that you will be able to play on Xbox One later this month if you have an Xbox Game Pass subscription –

Dishonored 2 (3rd October)

Reprise your role as a supernatural assassin in Dishonored 2, the follow-up to Arkane Studio’s award-winning, first-person action blockbuster, Dishonored. Play your way in a world where mysticism and industry collide. Will you choose to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano? Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions.

 

World War Z (10th October)

Humanity is on the brink of extinction. From New York to Moscow and Jerusalem, the undead apocalypse continues to spread. As the end looms, a hardened few bands together to defeat the horde and outlive the dead.
World War Z is a heart-pounding co-op third-person shooter for up to 4 players featuring swarms of hundreds of zombies. Based on the Paramount Pictures film, World War Z focuses on fast-paced gameplay while exploring new storylines from around the world.
Battle swarms of hundreds of zombies – the Swarm Engine™ seamlessly renders hordes of zombies in incredible firefights. Advanced gore systems offer gruesomely satisfying action.
Co-op story-driven campaigns – survive around the world, as unique groups tell their stories of perseverance.
Fight other players for survival – several intense Player vs Player vs Zombies game modes complement the co-op campaigns.
Grow stronger – unlock powerful weapon upgrades and level 16 character classes to take on greater challenges.

 

Yooka-Laylee (10th October)

Yooka-Laylee is an all-new open-world platformer from genre veterans Playtonic!
Explore huge, beautiful worlds, meet (and beat) an unforgettable cast of characters and horde a vault-load of shiny collectibles as buddy-duo Yooka (the green one) and Laylee (the wisecracking bat with the big nose) embark on an epic adventure to thwart corporate creep Capital B and his devious scheme to absorb all the world’s books… and convert them into pure profit!
Using their arsenal of special moves, our heroes will tackle a huge variety of puzzles and platforming challenges in their search for Pagies, the golden bounty used to unlock — and expand — stunning new worlds, each jammed to the gills with oddball characters, hulking bosses, minecart challenges, arcade games, quiz shows, multiplayer games… and much more!

 

Fallout: New Vegas (17th October)

Experience all the sights and sounds of fabulous New Vegas, brought to you by Vault-Tec, America’s First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation. Explore the treacherous wastes of the Great Southwest from the safety and comfort of your very own vault: Meet new people, confront terrifying creatures, and arm yourself with the latest high-tech weaponry as you make a name for yourself on a thrilling new journey across the Mojave wasteland. A word of warning, however – while Vault-Tec engineers have prepared for every contingency, in Vegas, fortunes can change in an instant. Enjoy your stay.

 

Felix the Reaper (17th October)

From Daedalic comes the quirky Felix the Reaper, a 3D shadow manipulation puzzle adventure game of dance, dying people, and dangerous love. Felix dances his way through this game with ease and moves that make you consider joining in. But don’t let his moves fool you; he’s still a killer.

Panzer Dragoon Orta (17th October)

As the young girl Orta, ride upon the back of a fearsome dragon as you fight to save the world from destruction. Fly over spectacularly hostile terrain, engage in high speed aerial combat, and attack imperial strongholds with multiple weapons and various dragon forms in this classic Xbox title.

 

The Outer Worlds (25th October)

The Outer Worlds is a new single-player sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later than you expected only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter a host of factions all vying for power, who you decide to become will determine the fate of everyone in Halcyon. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
