Black Desert Online, the MMO by Pearl Abyss, is getting a user interface and content update. The changes will roll out over time, with the first of the updates dropping today. This initial change focuses on the complexity of the NPC and in-game shop interfaces. They are now separated somewhat, with the “Conversation” and “Exchange” options being individual when talking to NPCs.
UI improvements have also been made to other areas of the game. These include the Stable, Harbor, Breeding and Market menu options, among others. Note, the develops say this is just stage 1 of the changes coming to the user interface in Black Desert Online.
Alongside the UI changes comes new content. A new hunting ground called Kratuca Ancient Ruins is available for adventurers. This area is recommended for players with 250 AP or higher, but it might be worth exploring to find rare items that are unique to this area.
If that sounds daunting, the “Open Season” continues in Black Desert Online, with more exclusive events. In this season, chances of item drops from monster killings are raised by 50%. This runs until October 16, so if you want that loot you’ll have to be quick.
Black Desert Online is available in Xbox Game Pass for those who haven’t tried it just yet.
