Stranger Things comes to Rocket League

Stranger things have happened in games, but this one is pretty weird. In yet another DLC crossover, a Stranger Things update is coming to Rocket League on October 14. The DLC will be called Haunted Hallows, and will release in time for Halloween.

It appears that this update will launch as a live event, with a close date of November 11. In that time, you will be able to earn a candy corn currency to unlock Stranger Things themed items. The unlocks include a Demogorgon player banner, a Stranger Things rocket boost and more vehicle customizations on a Hawkins themed map.

Rocket League

This follows plenty of updates and crossovers for Rocket League, which included Xbox themed cars, Rick and Morty customizations and even a Jurassic World crossover. The game has had huge staying power since its release over four years ago.

Stranger Things as a property is certainly doing the rounds at the minute. A fourth season of the show was recently announced after the third season wrapped up, and will take the show out of Hawkins. In a more appropriately themed crossover, a Stranger Things DLC pack also released for popular horror title Dead by Daylight recently.

If you’re thinking of jumping back into Rocket League for this Stranger Things event, the trailer is available below.
