Remothered is back again following last year’s debut on console and PC. This atmospheric horror franchise is born from a Japanese survival horror series called Clock Tower. With an Italian development team at the helm, Remothered has a wide range of styles and influences. The previous title, Tormented Fathers, was praised for its tense atmosphere and fitting art direction.
The sequel, Broken Porcelain, is due out next year. Today, the development team has given us some intriguing details on part two. The Ashmann Inn could well be the star of the show this time around, as it will house the horrors of Broken Porcelain. Modus games, who are helping publish the title, say the Inn creates an uneasy atmosphere for its patrons and players.
Remothered is classic survival horror. It borrows from the genre’s roots, and instantly reminds us of Resident Evil. This is the second of a three part series, which seems to be a new horror trend. The Dark Pictures Anthology from Supermassive is following a similar trajectory. Man of Medan launched earlier this year, with more games to come in that series.
Will you be giving Remothered: Broken Porcelain a try? The game is set to launch on Xbox One in 2020.
