Respawn Entertainment has had quite the year! The beginning of the year saw Apex Legends appear out of nowhere to become the biggest game around when it launched. Seriously, no one had even heard of the game a few weeks before it launched and then it just exploded! Like most games that blow up that big, that quickly, it hasn’t managed to retain its entire audience but it is still a pretty successful title and regularly ranks among the most played games on Xbox Live. The California-based developer then followed this up a few weeks ago with the great Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Finally, Electronic Arts had a Star Wars game that fans could love without feeling that it wasn’t complete or they were constantly having to watch that their wallet wasn’t being stolen.
Well, these two juggernaut games are now coming together as Respawn Entertainment has just announced that they are adding a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order flavoured skin to Apex Legends. In a very un-EA kind of move, it is free. All you have to do is play Apex Legends (a free game itself) between now and 14th January. Unfortunately, it is only one skin and that means it is only for one character, which is Pathfinder. This means, if that’s not your go-to character, I’m afraid you’re out of luck. But still, it is a free skin! The announcement was made via the Apex Legends Twitter account. You can check out the Tweet below –
In celebration of the launch of #JediFallenOrder, we’re releasing the BD-1-inspired, “BP-1 Pathfinder skin.” To claim the skin, simply log in to Apex Legends from Dec 3 – Jan 14.
Congratulations once again to the Jedi team here at Respawn! ? pic.twitter.com/Y075K3VjtF

This is the kind of good move that benefits everyone and should be applauded. Gamers get something free. Respawn Entertainment gets to publicise their games. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order fans may check out Apex Legends because of this and vice versa. So, bravo to Vince Zampella and the team. Now, can you follow up the good work by giving us Titanfall 3 next year? Please . . .
