I have completed the campaign on every Call of Duty game on Xbox One. Well, all but one of course. That being Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 as there was no campaign in the game. In fact, it is the only game in the franchise that I haven’t picked up for Xbox One. While I can agree that the multiplayer components of the franchise are all really good, I find that to do well you have to devote all your time to it and that’s not something I’m prepared to do. This leaves me just enjoying the singleplayer side of Call of Duty, and a bit of co-op when it’s included. When Black Ops 4 was released it was suggested that not that many people played the campaign anyway. Well, this makes it quietly comforting that around a third of all Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players have completed the campaign.
According to PlayStation 4 stats, 33.1% of players have unlocked the Tea Time trophy which marks the completion of the campaign. On Xbox One that statistic drops to 31.5%. Obviously, this is not the percentage of people who have played the campaign but just the number of people who have completed it. This means that you can be pretty sure that a higher ratio of people have started the singleplayer component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Here’s hoping that this is enough to persuade Activision to include a singleplayer campaign in the next title.
