Bleeding Edge, the team-based third person shooter from Ninja Theory has a launch date! It will arrive March 24 on Xbox and PC, and as part of Game Pass subscriptions. The game looks pretty chaotic, and follows in the footsteps of recent hero shooters like Overwatch.
Bleeding Edge is the first Ninja Theory game since Xbox’s Acquisition and is a pretty big departure from their last title. That was of course, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. This time, Ninja Theory are bringing the squad along too for some team-based multiplayer action.
It’ll be interesting to see Ninja Theory’s focus from here on out. We could see them garnering feedback on Bleeding Edge, to see whether more online-focused titles are worth developing. If so, a single player/Multiplayer balance would be a neat setup for the studio.
Bleeding Edge has undergone extensive testing since its announcement earlier this year. On both Xbox and PC, alpha testing has helped the development team get the game to where it is today. Now, release is right around the corner and the game will have a huge potential userbase with Xbox Game Pass.
Bleeding Edge is just one of the Xbox Games Studios titles being shown heavily at X019. Obsidian Entertainment and Rare have just announced two titles, Grounded and EVERWILD, respectively.
