DiRT Rally 2.0, the rally racing simulator from Codemasters, was added to the Game Pass library recently. Since its inclusion in the service, we’ve been putting some time into the latest DiRT entry. This new trial means that now, you don’t even need Game Pass to get in on the action.
A free trial is now available on the console versions of the game, including Xbox One. This snippet of the full experience showcases 10 cars across different tracks within the Rally and Rallycross disciplines. Codemasters say that they’ve worked with the community to curate the best bits of DiRT Rally 2.0.
So, you’ll be able to sample asphalt racing alongside some of the heavier stuff. The Spain and New Zealand locations will play host to these road surfaces in the standard rally class. For Rallycross events, another track in Spain will be playable during the trial. These track layouts are only a slice of the full game, which includes a host of other locations.
DiRT Rally 2.0 is a damn good racer, and this trial is another way to try before you buy. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the full game is available as part of an Xbox Game Pass subscription. The trial offers a way to upgrade and keep your progress, if you’re enjoying it and Game Pass isn’t your thing.
