During the Square Enix E3 presentation, Square Enix Collective announced the next game that they will be publishing. For those that don’t know, Square Enix Collective is the Japanese publisher’s way of supporting indie developers. Previous games released on the Square Enix Collective label include Black the Fall, The Turing Test, and Forgotten Anne. The latest game they will be publishing is Circuit Superstars.
This is a top-down racer being developed by Vancouver-based indie developer, Original Fire Games. While there are many indie top-down racers coming to market at the moment, this one seems to set itself apart with a focus on motorsport. Not only do the cars look authentic but you have to realistic things like entering the pits and having your crew change your tires. All of this is done in a great art style. You can check out the announcement trailer below as well as the official description of the game –
Circuit Superstars is a top-down, physics driven racing game for PC and consoles. We combine arcade-style racing with more realistic tactile driving physics, which brings together a whole range of styles and eras of motorsport. From 60s-inspired single-seaters to modern GTs, Circuit Superstars will feature vehicles and tracks from various motorsport eras.
