E3: Ubisoft show off Watch Dogs Legion

Ubisoft had already confirmed one of the worst kept secrets in gaming. Watch Dogs 3 was indeed set in London and called Legion. Well, today we got our first look at gameplay during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference.

We started off following the player as a character called Ian. He needs help with some drones but ends up getting in a scuffle with the police. In a surprise move, he dies and we then see the focus move to an older lady who takes control. She’s not such a frail old lady, though, as she starts tasing people, left and right. The action then shifts to a younger lady called naomi¬†who rides a drone through a restricted area. She comes across some people locked up in cages and takes out the surrounding guards. What follows is gunplay and close quarters combat.

Watch Dogs Legion changes the franchise up by not just following one protagonist. As you recruit more people to DeadSec, you can control more characters. It’s set in London after Brexit. And after a time of turmoil, the city has become a police state. You recruit a resistance force and are tasked with taking back the city.

Watch Dogs Legion will launch 6th March 2020
