In a bizarre end to the 2019 Game Awards, Michelle Rodriguez took the stage to introduce a new video game. It is called Fast and Furious: Crossroads and releases for the Xbox One in May 2020. The game features Vin Diesel, Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson, all reprising their roles they take in the movies. There was no sight of The Rock, Jason Statham or any of the other cast in the first trailer. Check out the reveal below.
Fast and Furious: Crossroads looks to be a story-based racing action game. Hard to imagine with the franchise it is based on, right? It looks like you battle other vehicles with your car decked out in weaponry. The trailer shows a lot of action, but I am skeptical.
For a console generation that is getting so many amazing looking games at the end, this does not look up to standards. None of the character models look great and while we did not get gameplay, I am not hopeful for anything groundbreaking. There is time for the developers to fix up the graphics and maybe the game will feature enough stupid fun for fans of the series. My first impression with Fast and Furious: Crossroads is not blowing me away.
