Halo: Reach headlines next week on Xbox

As November comes to a close, the gaming world tends to slow down a little. December can be a quiet month for games, but Xbox has quite a busy slate of titles releasing by December 6. Of course, Halo: Reach coming to The Master Chief Collection is the big one, but here are the highlights of what else is releasing over the next week.

As the last in a line of Bioware classics coming to current gen consoles, Neverwinter Nights releases on Xbox One on December 3. The enhanced edition features a resolution bump and altered UI elements, but aside from that, not much. The developers have said that the game’s controls have been reworked for controllers, as the original released on PC.

Of course, Halo: Reach comes to The Master Chief Collection on December 3 too, which we’re very excited for. We got hands on with the port at X019, and it’s oh so nice to play Reach at 60fps. This is looking like the final chapter in the Master Chief Collection saga, before all eyes are on Infinite next year.

December

To round out a busy 3rd day in December, the final episode of Life is Strange 2 is also dropping. Game Pass members can get hold of the first four episodes of the season right now, so if you need to catch up before episode five, what are you waiting for?!

Moving further ahead, there’s a few notable releases on December 5. The brilliant My Friend Pedro comes to Xbox One next Thursday, so be ready for a banana to take control of your life from that day forward. The hectic 2D shooter is also releasing on Game Pass so you’ve no excuse not to check out the fruits of this one’s labour.

A large expansion for Kerbal Space Program launches on the same day as Pedro, titled Breaking Ground. This add on features new equipment to to deploy alongside surface features to investigate and of course, a selection of new robotic parts for players to use. The sequel, Kerbal Space Program 2 launches next year.

Finally, on December 6 we go back in time to discover our ancestors in a tale of species discovery. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is perhaps the biggest new game on Xbox One next month and for good reason. Aside from an incredibly unique player perspective (Apes!), this title comes from the original creator of Assassin’s Creed. Not a bad one for the CV…

That rounds out the biggest releases in early December, before the quiet Christmas break begins. To see what else is releasing within the next week, check out the full list here.
