One of the games that I’m most nervous about this year is Need for Speed Heat. As a racing game fan, I desperately want it to be a good game. However, as the series has struggled to find a direction over this entire generation of consoles, I’m not holding my breath. Part of the game’s success will be reliant on Electronic Arts keeping their disgusting loot boxes (sorry, “surprise mechanics”) out of the game. The main criteria for success, though, is that it nails the arcade racing and car customisation culture that brought success to the franchise in the first place. Of course, if you’re already on board for Need for Speed Heat then you’ll need to know how much free space you’ll need on your hard drive. And thanks to the Xbox Store, we now know that the game clocks in at a fairly modest 23.97 GB.
