Horizon Chase Turbo was one of the indie darlings from last year. The racing game inspired by 16-bit classics like Outrun has just reached its first birthday and is celebrating this by releasing a free update. The new content is called the Rookie Series and as the name suggests it is aimed at new players coming to the game. It offers 24 new races with slightly less aggressive AI competitors. This is a smart move as in our review of the game we talked about how aggressive the other cars were. Whether or not this will bring in a surge of new players, only time will tell, but new free content is always welcome. You can check out a trailer for the Rookie Series along with the official details of the update below –
