Jalopy drives onto Xbox One in September

September is turning out to be a busy month for Xbox owners. Of course, the big game on our platform is Gears 5. However, there is also Borderlands 3FIFA 20NBA 2K20, CODE VEINGreedfall, and The Surge 2. That’s not all, though, you can also expect to see WRC 8Torchlight II, Tropico 6, Contra: Rogue Corps, and Phoenix Point. Well, you can now add another game to that list. Jalopy may not be in the same league in terms of budget or name recognition, but it is due out on 27th September.

Jalopy is a car-based game that is about as far away from the likes of Forza as you could get. You may have to enter the pits in Forza Motorsport to fill up with fuel, swap your tyres but you never have to hunt around and find those things. You’ll never have missed the start of an event in Forza Horizon because you had to scavenge a carburettor for your ride. I’m also pretty sure that you won’t have seen the Laika 601 Deluxe in those racing games.

You can check out the trailer for Jalopy as well as the official description below –

Build, repair, refuel and drive a dilapidated old car on a grand journey through the territories of the former Eastern bloc.
Upgrade, maintain and care for your Laika 601 Deluxe motor vehicle. Keep close attention to everything from the state of your tyres, the condition of your engine and even the space in your trunk. Repair each aspect of your scrappy little car and install unique upgrades to deal with the changing world. Everything from cargo weight to the condition of your carburettor will determine how your car performs on the open road.
