Join The Church in the Darkness from next week

One of the indie games we’ve been keeping an eye on for the last couple of years is The Church in the Darkness from developer, Paranoid Productions. The game’s concept and art style caught our attention and we were even more intrigued as we heard more about it. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too much longer to get our hands on it as the game launches on 2nd August. The announcement was made by a new trailer for the game which you can check out below –

The Church in the Darkness sees you playing as Vic, an ex-cop who is tasked with infiltrating a cult which has relocated to the South African jungle. As well as having a really interesting premise, you are given pretty free-reign over how you want to handle the situation. You can go in guns blazing or try to sneak around and not hurt anyone. The choice is up to you. What’s more, there are procedurally generated elements. This means that every time you play through the game, the camp will have a slightly different layout and different cult members will react differently to you. Safe to say, we’re really looking forward to getting our hands on this one and will share our thoughts as soon as we do.
