Major XP boosts coming to Black Ops 4 to celebrate CoD Championships

BO4 Quad Feed event

This Monday, August 12, a major XP event is launching for Black Ops 4 on all platforms. The event is to celebrate the upcoming CoD World League Championship, which takes place August 14-18. For the occasion, players get to experience double XP, double weapon XP, 2X Nebulium Plasma for zombies and 2X merits for the contraband reward stream.

For us on Xbox, this will coincide nicely with the new Operation, which goes live on Tuesday, August 13. This is the second half of the Apocalypse Z Operation, subtitled Survivors. A new 60-tier contraband stream is coming, with brand new character, weapon and profile customisations. Two new weapons will also be available in reserve cases; the Havelina AA50 sniper and the classic M16 rifle.

Black Ops 4 mode

The new limited-time Blackout mode seems a good place to earn those 2X merits. This gamemode, called Pandemic, merges Blackout and Zombies even further. Up to 80 players will drop into the map, but on death there is a new twist. Rather than having to leave or spectate, players killed will have the chance to return as a zombie to get revenge.

Whether you’re playing on Multiplayer, Zombies or Blackout, the new Quad Feed of XP boosts will kick the new Operation off with a bang.
