Need for Speed Heat celebrates going gold with gameplay clips

Heat

We’re just under a month from the release of the latest game in the Need for Speed series. Need for Speed Heat is hoping to restore the glory of the franchise with a return to a focus on racing. The racing will be different, though, depending on the time of day. If you race during the day, it will be as part of the Speedhunters Showdown. This is a legal and organised racing series. However, if you race during the night, then it will be in Underground races. These aren’t as legal and could well see you having to contend with law enforcement. Anyway, the game has now gone gold and to celebrate, Ben Walke (Global Community Engagement Manager at EA) has released a couple of gameplay clips via his Twitter account. You can check out the Tweets below –

There’s not much shown here but it does whet the appetite for the upcoming racer. I think most racing game fans have a soft spot for the Need for Speed series. It’s such a shame where it has been in the last few entries. Here’s hoping that Need for Speed Heat will be a return to form for the franchise. If you want to see more of the game you can check out the trailer for the game below along with the official description –

Need for Speed Heat is a vibrant street-racer where daytime is a bright sunny, urban environment and night a dangerous neon playground. Turn the key. Burn all limits.
Hustle by day and risk it all at night in Need for Speed™ Heat, a thrilling race experience that pits you against a city’s rogue police force as you battle your way into street racing’s elite.

Need for Speed Heat is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on 8th November
