Netflix debuts first teaser trailer for The Witcher

Yes, we know this isn’t exactly game news (especially as it is based on the books, not the games), however, we love us some Witcher in Enthusiast Towers. At the beginning of the month, we brought you the first images from Netflix’s The Witcher series. Well, now we have the first actual footage of the highly anticipated series with Netflix – Watch TV Shows Online, Watch Movies Online releasing a teaser trailer. You can check it out below –

The first thing that occurs to us is how much of a beast Henry Cavill looks as Geralt of Rivia! He seems even more jacked here than when he plays Superman. This teaser does a good job of showing the tone that the show is going for as well as showcasing some of the action and more supernatural elements. It certainly doesn’t look like Netflix is skimping on the budget of this show. If you get a bit of a Game of Thrones vibe in the look of the show, that may be down to the fact the director of the first episode was also the director of photography on the first season of HBO’s epic. We’re sure that Netflix hopes that this show can fill in the void left by the conclusion of events in Westeros.

No release date, or even window, has been announced for The Witcher but as soon as we know anything else, you can be sure that we’ll let you know. In the meantime, we’re off to deal with some dragons in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
