Capcom has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake. The trailer focuses on Nemesis, the forbidding main villain from Resident Evil 3. It further showcases the game running in Capcom’s latest RE engine, which looks stunning on current generation systems. Of course, last year’s Resident Evil 2 also launched using the same tech.
The clip also shows alternate playable characters for the remake, with Jill being the main protagonist in the 1999 original. Jill does return of course, and has had a splendid makeover from the models used in the original release. However, Nemesis is the star of the show here and we’re not going to sugar coat it, he looks very frightening indeed.
This trailer comes just days after we learnt some interesting stuff about the upcoming remake. Those new details were not so good news though, as we found out that both the Mercenaries mode and alternate endings of the original wouldn’t be coming back. The Mercenaries mode allowed players to replay certain sections of the main campaign with different characters.
Another thing to note is that Resident Evil 3 comes bundled with the upcoming Project Resistance multiplayer mode. We went hands on with this at X019, and were pretty impressed by the outcome.
