Terminator has been all over video games recently, and the officially licensed game is right around the corner. So far, we’ve seen little on the title, which is being developed by the team that created the official Rambo game; Teyon. Now, some longer Terminator: Resistance gameplay videos have been released.
The combat gameplay trailer is still brief, but does show some more glimpses at first person combat. The shooting mechanics look solid, and the world looks incredibly dark and moody. Hopefully the game feels as good to play as it appears here.
Thankfully, a longer gameplay video has also been released. 10 minutes of the opening of Terminator: Resistance to be exact, showing cinematics, in-game conversations and plenty of first person shooting. In the video we see some interesting tidbits, including manual healing which is often sidelined for a regenerating health system these days. The player can also collect materials from defeated enemies, which reveals that a crafting system has been implemented.
Footage so far for Terminator: Resistance has been a mixed bag. Some earlier clips have shown signs of what we expect from licensed games, but these videos show more promise. Hopefully the game turns out to be a solid first person shooter.
Terminator: Resistance releases on November 15 in Europe and Australia, and December 10 in North America. The extended gameplay video is down below.
