Slay bells will ring in Hitman 2 as it gets festive through December

If you are after an example of a game that continually provides new content, Hitman 2 should be your go-to title. IO Interactive bring numerous new events and content each and every month. Another thing that they do really well is to make that content appropriate to that month. A great example of this was October’s brilliant Halloween themed content and events. Well, the Danish developer is at it again this month with some appropriately festively themed content coming to Hitman 2. The headline items here are a Santa outfit, as well as an unlockable ice pick and Snow Festival Suit.

Here’s a trailer for the new content along with the breakdown and roadmap –

Enjoy the holidays with HITMAN 2 and the permanent return of TWO holiday-themed missions and their related unlocks! On top of that, we’re re-introducing Curated Contracts with a festive twist and we have a new Elusive Target with an extended runtime to take us into 2020.
All in all, December brings 4 new Escalation Contracts, a community-created Legacy Escalation, two holiday-themed missions, 12 Curated Contracts, a Legacy Escalation Contract and an Elusive Target.

5th December / The Truman Convention: Santa Fortuna / Escalation – Safety is important. It prevents accidents, injury and potentially death. Try telling that to 47.

5th December / The Raaz Algorithm: Mumbai / Escalation – The Raaz Algorithm takes 47 to the Mumbai trainyard for a stealth-based Escalation.

6th December / The Chef: Paris / Legacy Exclusive Target – Everyone’s favourite celebrity chef has returned to Paris – and your job is to make sure he’s had his final meal.

12th December / The Han Encasement: Mumbai / Escalation – A second Escalation in Mumbai this month takes 47 to Rangan Tower. More safety officers will have a bad day.

12th December / 12 Days of Contracts: Global / Curated Contracts – For this month, Curated Contracts return with the “12 Days of Contracts”, a community initiative that started on Hitman Forum and will be live to play on December 12. Some of the top contract creators in the Hitman community have created a holiday-themed contract each and we’ve collected them together into this month’s new contracts.

17th December / Holiday Hoarders: Paris / Seasonal Content – It wouldn’t be December in HITMAN without Holiday Hoarders – and 2019 is no different. Whether you’re home alone or travelling with the family, Holiday Hoarders will provide all the classic entertainment that you need. You can keep the change.

17th December / Snow Festival: Hokkaido / Seasonal Content – Celebrate the Winter season at the HITMAN 2 Snow Festival in Hokkaido and throw snowballs at your target! The Snow Festival will be a permanent addition to the game and players can unlock the Snow Festival Suit Icepick at their leisure.

17th December / The Rafael Misadventure: Isle of Sgàil / Escalation – The Rafael Misadventure is an aptly named Escalation that takes you to Isle of Sgail where you’ll need to eliminate your targets in accidental ways.

17th December / The Kotti Paradigm: Paris / Legacy Escalation – The very first Escalation Contract to have three stages comes to HITMAN 2. Created by well-known community member and Hitman player TheKotti, this paradigm is all about the battle axe. We’ve kept the original conditions intact and expect the new additions for HITMAN 2 to have an impact on some strategies for this one.

20th December / The Stowaway: Isle of Sgàil / Elusive Target – The final piece of new content for the year comes with an Elusive Target. The Stowaway has some unique behaviour – all depending on your own behaviour – so we advise taking your time and observing before making a move. The Stowaway will have an extended runtime over the holiday season from December 20 to January 6.
