SoulCalibur VI will have character creator option

We’re only a few months away from the release of SoulCalibur VI and we are gradually more details about the anticipated upcoming fighter. The latest nugget of information about the game is that there will be an alternative story mode as well as the return of the popular character creation option. In an interview with Newsweek, game producer, Motohiro Okubo, confirmed their inclusion, saying –

In terms of other modes, there is the alternative story mode that I mentioned before and the character creator that is a key element of SoulCalibur. That’s going to be in there, we don’t know how it’s going to look yet. There will be online modes, of course, but how all of this is going to play out, I’d say stay tuned.

He was also asked about how Geralt, from The Witcher series, will fit into this latest game and here’s what he had to say –

Geralt is going to play a key role, actually, in how the story between SoulCalibur and Soul Edge unfolds. And you look at a character like Geralt, and it was one of the reasons why we identified him, is that his world setting is very close to the one we established in the SoulCalibur franchise.

As well as recently gaining a ‘T for Teen’ rating from the ESRB we have also recently learned that the game will have a season pass available which will include 3 playable characters as well as 2 armour packs.
