Ubisoft delays Watch Dogs: Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters

Ubisoft was all set to have a very busy start to 2020. God and Monsters, the cartoon-style action-adventure game wrapped up in Greek mythology, was due to launch on 25th February. The 6th March was to see the release of Watch Dogs: Legion. And we were supposed to get Rainbow Six Quarantine sometime before the beginning of April. Well, you can now forget all of those release dates as Ubisoft has announced that all three games need further development time and will instead come out sometime in the next financial year (April 2020 – March 2021).

As we repeatedly say here at Xbox Enthusiast, we would rather see a good delayed game than a naff rushed game. If Ubisoft thinks these games need longer in the cooker, then we welcome that decision. Of course, this does mean that one or two of these games could launch fairly close to release of the next-gen consoles. I think it’s pretty safe to assume that most of the big AAA games launching next year will have some sort of cross-gen status. Titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Marvel’s Avengers are likely to have next-gen updates or re-releases.

If you are unfamiliar with Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods and Monsters or Rainbow Six Quarantine, here are trailers and descriptions for them –
