The original Red Dead Redemption received an awesome post-launch DLC. The Undead Nightmare pack zombified the western epic, further solidifying its acclaim. The DLC was very well received in a time where large expansion packs were the norm for single player games. Now, a similar theme is being teased for the sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2.
Zombie characters have been cropping up in both single player and Red Dead Online. This is since the latest update, which introduced some new features for online. Multiple NPC characters have been spotted with zombie-like features and very noticeable green eyes.

What this turns into is still unknown. Since GTA5, Rockstar has stuck to incremental online updates as opposed to large single player add-ons. The fact that these characters have also been spotted in single player gives us hope though. The Undead Nightmare DLC for the first Red Dead was a fan favourite, and players have been asking for something similar since GTA5.
The most likely outcome is that this is a tease for an upcoming Halloween-themed online update. However, that doesn’t stop us from speculating and wishing for a major DLC expansion for Red Dead 2.
Will you be checking out Red Dead Redemption 2 in search for zombies?
